About

We are software developers working in Lyttelton, New Zealand, and have been working in the software industry for the last 15 years.

I started as a software developer at Lincoln University, setting up course websites, training staff to update those websites, and advising on ways that the web might be used to enhance learning.

Later I worked at Gen-i, which became a division of Telecom New Zealand. At first I worked as a software developer on Realm, a web content management system developed at Gen-i. And later, I became the Realm Product Manager for that product.

Since then, I have been working on various website projects, both small and large. My focus has been on WordPress websites, particularly in getting the most out of available plug-ins to achieve small business requirements at minimum cost.

I learned the craft of software development working at some of the big names in the industry including Hewlett Packard and gen-i before taking on senior roles within in-house software development teams for local and nationwide businesses.

I have a broad range of experience in the design and development of software applications, websites, databases and datawarehouses. The part I like the most about being in the software game is writing code, especially the satisfaction that comes with finding a solution to a particularly curly programming problem.

In my free time, I like to read, cycle and garden.
